It may not be the real Stonehenge, but relocating this impressive stone circle, known locally as Stonehenge, in the grounds of Birmingham school, provided our groundworks team with an interesting challenge. The 11 stones weighed up to 3 tons each and had to be carefully unearthed then lifted and reinsated in exact formation over 50 meters away, making way for expansion of the neighbouring school.
Our team also recovered a time capsule from under one of the stones, which was carefully re-buried for a future generation to discover!
